It's How I Got to be This Way

I have a blog that I enjoy reading from a girl I went to high school with.
From time to time I check in, read a few blogs and sometimes I get inspired to make a new post to mine.
It helps get me along when I have a bit of writers block.

I found one today that did just that.
She had been tagged in a post where she was supposed to go through her pictures and post the 10th one and the story to go along with it.
I came across this fun post while reading her blog and seeing a link to the story of how her hubby proposed.
Low and behold, the story was this tag post.
So it got me to thinking about pictures and the stories that they hold.
The only problem with ttrying the same thing is that my pictures are all seperated out in different folders based on date and/or event (at times both).
I don't have any pictures just floating around the my pictures folder on my laptop...
So, I decided to take something similar to that and amend it.
Rather than post one picture and tell the story behind it,
it's going to become a thing I'm going to try to do regularly.
Post one of my pictures, that I'll pic randomly, and tell the story behind it.
It will probably let people know a bit more about me:
who I am, where I've been, and why I'm going into the career I am
(after all, photography is my thing).

So here goes nothing:
This is one of my newest pictures...
I took the actual picture (this is a cell phone picture of a picture I took)
while Matt and I were in Monterey.
It was after he proposed to me, and we had been engaged a day or two.
I was standing inside one of the buildings on the wharf waiting for Matt and I decided to try to get a picture of my ring with my oh-so-fancy-very-non-digital camera.
I was so excited to get the film back when we got home (we took 5 rolls when we were there)
But I think this was seriously one of my favorites...
And it still is one of my favorite pictures I have taken today.
Mostly because it's of my engagement ring that I love so much, but also because made me realize that I really can accomplish my dreams. And that I shouldn't give up.

But, now it's time to get back to my application since it is working again.
Less than an hour left till my birthday and Matt has to get up for work.
Joy.

Let the good times roll
