Wishful Wednesday

'I wish' .... I could play a character's role in a book and it would be:
Jemima Jones in Jane Green's Jemima J.

The book is self proclaimed "a novel about ugly ducklings and swans".
It follows Jemima Jones (AKA Jemima J),
an overwieght writer at a small London Newspaper,
through the highs and lows of her life...
being in love with a co-worker who only sees her as a friend,
trying to loose weight to meet Brad, a hunky Californian guy who seems too good to be true,
and learning who she really is as a person,
who her real friends are,
and finding the person who will love you no matter what.

It's a great book that I've got my 13 year old sister addicted to,
and she is a character who knows who she is, but still has insecurites.
In otherwords, she is very relatable to young women.

Sicko in the house

So, boyfriend and I somehow picked up bronchitis...
I'm not sure what caused it, but I figure it was probably a combo of:
1. All the cold we were in at the cabin,
2. Getting almost no sleep for about 3 days in a row
3. The stress that the weekend actually caused
4. and all the sick people he is around at the stupid casino.

Anyway, he's been sick for a little over a week,
and I'm going on 6 days.
We're both getting better, but I still can barely eat.
I don't think half a can of corn in about 36 hours is very much.

Hopefully being on cough meds, vitamin C, and antibiotics will help me get better faster.
Hopefully my honey feels better soon too.
Poor guy is having a hard time,
but I'm hoping not having my sick butt around will help him out.
I'd really like for me and him to be able to have some fun this weekend!

Thats about all thats been going on lately.
I don't think I've been on a computer since my last post.
I really need to try to remember to update more often.
lol. Yeah right.

Watch out Cabo, summer is creepin up!

I'm workin on getting in shape for our trip in July!
After Matt and my trip up to the cabin,
we got our butts kicked by the snow mobiles and realized how out of shape we are.

Tomorrow me and one of my friends are going out on bikes,
and I'm going to start exercising if not every night, every other night.
and start eating better too.
(i'm really going to miss potato chips and soda all the time)

Once my poor baby starts feeling better he's going to be working out too,
and were going to start getting out exercise on together over the weekends.

Watch out Cabo, cuz July 17- 24 we're comming for you...
and were going to be pretty freaking sexy!

I'm really hoping his fever stays down too.
Poor guy started not feeling well Monday after we got back from Deer Lodge,
and has just gotten sicker since.
He had a fever the last two days, and it finally broke this evening.
We're just hoping at this point that it stays that way.
I always feel horrible when I can't be there to take care of him when he's sick.
I hate having to be in Wilton,
with nothing to do, but pick up my sister,
when there is somewhere I would much rather be,
and something I would much rather be doing.

Thats life for now.
Until I can find me a job that is.

I hate the economy so much.

snow, fun, and sickos

I'm back at the Wilton house
(as I have decided to call it since I spend between 3-4 days a week in Shingle Springs now. lol).

Matt and I spent a long weekend together...
much needed and appreciated...

I went over to the house Thursday night and pretty much just cuddled and slept,

Friday we got all of the stuff we needed for the trip,
got Matt all packed up,
picked up Dan from snow boarding in Tahoe,
and took a long drive first to Susanville,
then to the Summit at Bucks Lake to go to the cabin.

I got my first experience in snow mobiling.
What an experience! lol
I definatly do NOT recommend riding tandum on a one person snow mobile, however.
OUCH! Lol

Saturday, the boys went out and had fun playing and hurting themselves.
When they got back, Matt and I hung out in the cabin and played games.
The boys drank, and that night the wives and the terror came up.
We got noo freaking sleep.

Sunday (Valentine's Day), we all went out on the snow mobiles
(again, riding tandum... bad idea #2. lol)
saw some crazy awesome sights,
had a really nice dinner with really cute gifts for everyone
(I was so suprised. It was really sweet of Dan's mom)
after dinner,
Matt and I both got to ride on the back of the snow mobile's to get back to his truck to head home.
Not being able to see very well,
(since I wear glasses and couldn't wear them with the goggles)
and it being dark outside, made it a very interesting last ride!
Our 4 hour trip,
(once we got on the right road and Matt could de-stress)
was pretty fun, although we didn't sleep that night.

Monday, we just kicked back and relaxed.
The weather was so perfect.

My poor honey is sick, he's coughing and hacking and had a fever today.
Mayson is sick too, and has been around both of us,
I'm just hoping that my immune system can hold up so I don't get sick too.
I've had my fair share of stomach issues lately,
being nausious all the time sucks enough without adding in coughing into the mix.

The joy of winter. lol

I definatly can't wait for the weather to get warm and summer to start
so I can steal Matt away to Cabo and we can have a nice relaxing vacation!

Looking up

Things are starting to look up!
I have 2 interviews coming up...
one is tomorrow afternoon at Sunrise Mall,
the other is Saturday morning in West Sac.
I'm super exciting and hoping one of these works out!!

Even better:
the next two weeks are 3 day weekends for EGUSD...
which means that I get to spend more time with Matty!

and what's also great is I introduced one of my friends to the site where I met the love of y life and now she has found a guy that seems pretty awesome so far!
I'm hoping maybe she found some one great that can finally be her someone special!

Today was a great day! Thank you lucky dime in the trunk! lol

2 steps forward and one step back

Thats pretty much how things have been feeling lately.
A few good things happen, looks like everything is finally falling into place...
then BAM, something goes wrong, causing part of it to fall apart all over again.

It kinda sucks, but hopefully it will all come together soon.

On a good note though, this weekend I took Matt out to SF for his birthday!
We took the BART up to SF,
Grabbed Chili Bread Bowls at Boudins for lunch,
Wandered over to Ghiradelli Square to look around,
Walked Fisherman's Wharf,
Played on Pier 39,
and Went to the Aquarium!

It was a ton of fun and we were both super sore after!

For his birthday on Monday,
we just hung out at his house and played video games,
went and visited one of his friends for a bit,
then hung out and took a nap before he had to go to work and I drove back home.
